‘Your Values in Your Hand’ Art Competition

Crosscare Youth Services Art Competition

Entry Deadline: 9th May

Your Values are what you care about and believe are most important. Let's celebrate them!

To celebrate European Youth Week, the team in Crosscare Youth Information are organising a Art Competition for all Crosscare Youth Services. This is an exciting opportunity to express your creativity, win prizes and show your values and what is important to you.

Send us your best Poster capturing what Core Values are important to you by the entry deadline of 9th May!

How to enter

Taking part is simple!

  1. Draw or digitally create a A4 poster 
  2. Your poster should relate to the theme of Core Values that are important to you
  3. Your Poster should contain One Hand (you can trace your hand) and your chosen Core Values (up to 5 values).
  4. Be creative and express your artistic style.
  5. Send your poster into Crosscare Youth information Service via your Youth Worker. 
  6. Submit your entry before the deadline of 9th May (Europe Day).

Prizes - 3 Winners

Each winner will receive:

  • €50 one4all voucher
  • A4 print of their image
  • Entry into Eurodesk Ireland National Poster Competition.
  • Finally, a €50 Just Eat voucher for the Youth Group of each winner!

Who can take part?

Young people who are registered members of Crosscare Youth Services.

If you are a winner(!) and U 18; a consent form must be signed to enter the Eurodesk Ireland competition.

For those who are 18+: by submitting an entry you agree to use of your submission for promotional purposes, including those outside of the competition as the organisers see fit and to your data being processed in line with Léargas Personal Data Policy.

Poster formats

When submitting your poster for the competition, it’s important to follow these guidelines:

  • The Poster entry should be A4
  • Artwork can be any painting style or technique
  • If in digital form, ensure the poster is sent as a JPEG file and that it is no larger than 5MB.
  • Only submit your original work; do not include anything copyrighted by someone else.
  • Do not include any logos, copyright marks, or visible references on the images.

Remember to have fun and good luck with your entry!

Selection Process

  • Entries will be sent by email via local Youth Workers to
  • Entries will be assessed by a selection committee in the Crosscare Youth Information Service.
  • Winners will be notified through their Youth Worker
  • Winners will be announced through Crosscare Youth Information social media platforms
  • Winning entries will be entered into the Eurodesk National Competition and assessed by their selection committee. For those under the age of 18, youth workers/teachers will need to confirm that parental or guardian consent has been obtained for the young person to enter the National competition. 

Please note: the judging panel reserves the right to disqualify entries that does not meet the competition criteria and formatting requirements.

Crosscare Youth Information is a member of Eurodesk Ireland. Eurodesk is a free information service that operates in 36 European countries. They provide information on opportunities for young people to work, study, volunteer and travel in Europe and support young people to access such opportunities. National Poster Competition

Eurodesk Ireland is running a National Poster Competition. The winners of our Competition will be entered automatically into this National Competition.
