
An e-learning to support the youth work sector to help keep young people safe online.
This e-learning introduces youth workers and volunteers to key topics in online safety, and addresses the challenges that young people may face online. It explores the importance of digital awareness in your role and the ways you can support young people to be safer online.
The Child Protection Programme of National Youth Council of Ireland worked with Webwise and An Garda Síochána in developing this training, so the content is tailored for youth workers and backed up by a wealth of expertise.
Time commitment and content
It will take you approximately 2 – 2.5 hours to complete overall. Across six modules you will:
• Develop your awareness of the online lives of young people
• Increase your understanding of online safety in relation to your work
• Be supported to enable safer experiences for young people online in your work
Certificate
When you finish you’ll have the chance to take an assessment and gain your Certificate of Completion.
