Minding Your Mind – a YWI mental health resource

Positive Mental Health Programme:

Youth Work Ireland Galway has produced a brilliant mental health resource for young people called “Minding Your Mind”.

The “Minding Your Mind” booklet, is available to download here

Researched and compiled in conjunction with young people the publication is youth-friendly in its content and layout as well as of practical benefit to its readers.

The overall aim of this new resource is to promote positive mental health, address issues that young people today are commonly experiencing and to encourage those going through a difficult time to reach out for support.

It is hoped that it will not only give young people and their families something to draw on when they encounter challenges but also help them build resilience and better mental health on an ongoing basis.

It addresses real, practical everyday issues for young people like dealing with relationships, the stresses of family and other personal issues, dealing with identity, the emotions that can overwhelm us all, money, education and much more.

The publication provides positive and simple actions that all young people can engage in to help them meet these challenges.
